In this episode, I will take you to discover my top five places for music in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg: one of the most popular neighbourhoods in town.
In particular, the district is a mix of sophisticated music cocktail bars with Berlin DJs, tiny and cosy places to listen to music from different music genres and record shops.
Moreover, during summer, Prenzlauer Berg also offers lovely beer gardens with live music and bars and clubs with outdoor areas to take advantage of the warm nights.
Although it has lost various live music venues in the last few years, it always remains an excellent area to find spots where to breathe Music in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg.

HERE’S MY TOP FIVE PLACES FOR MUSIC IN BERLIN’S PRENZLAUER BERG
03:48 ZU MIR ODER ZU DIR
A music cocktail bar with a fantastic vintage atmosphere. “Unknown” is the weekly event series (every Thursday) focused on supporting uncommercialized artists, with electronic and house DJs based in Berlin. It offers different music nights, varying from the chill house and electro sounds to 70s funk and disco.
06:30 OYE RECORDS
The “big sister” of Oye Kreuzköelln in Neukölln. It is divided into three areas where you can listen to high-quality vinyl, mainly focused on house (with a whole room dedicated to the subgenres you can think of), jazz, hip hop and electronic records.
08:35 AN EINEM SONNTAG IN AUGUST
A lovely music bar located in Eberswalder Straße with an exciting lineup of young talented, and experienced DJs from Berlin and Europe, playing house and techno music and disco, soul, jazz and rare grooves.
It is an old brewery transformed into an ample space with lots of cafes, galleries, theatre, cinema and friendly clubs such as Franz club and Soda club, which mainly focused on commercial music.
Moreover, an ideal ample event space where every year takes place big festivals such as for Pop Culture festival: when it comes to music, I think one of the most interesting: is a pop, indie and electronic festival organized by Musicboard Berlin.
12:00 THE RECORD STORE
The record shop is focused on 70-80s collections with an extensive collection of Vintage American records and an exciting collection of jazz and blues.
