Berlin it’s not only famous for clubs, but there is also much more: since I have been here (almost a year – time passes too fast), I have had the opportunity to discover the other way this: Jazz clubs, Cultural Spaces, Record stores, Rooftop terrace, Hotels and so forth.
Today we focus on Music Bars.
One of the things that captured me more is the diversity between East and West: there are small independent bars with the true authentic taste of East Berlin. Instead, in West Berlin, you find luxury cocktail music bars that offer a different experience, more in the classic posh style.
Here are my five best Music Bars in Berlin:
KLUNKERKRANICH A beautiful Rooftop bar located on the top floor of the Arcaden shopping centre in the south of Berlin in Neükolln
BAR TAUSEND is an upscale bar with a New York club style where you can listen to great music and drink excellent cocktails.
DAS HOTEL Hotel, Bar, Restaurant and Club. A classic spot in Berlin, located near the Kottbusser Tor underground station. The bar has three levels: I spent most of the time down the basement – the club. Practically is a little bit dancefloor with many different kinds of music events.
REPEAT A mix of industrial minimalism & soft lighting. Disco Music is the spirit and the beating heart of this unique venue.
RHINOCEROS is a lovely jazz bar to enjoy a winter evening with the rhythm of Jazz and Soul. What makes this place unique is the small corner to the bar’s left, where you can find a lovely vintage turntable with a carefully selected vinyl. The fascinating side of this jazz bar is the close connection with Jazz Kissa Culture.
