History
Did you know that Piscotrópicos is in its sixth edition this year?
The festival was launched by Rodrigo Da Matta, a talented Brazilian artist, club DJ, musician, and live promoter.
Growing up in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, music was always a big part of his life.
Now, he’s become a key influencer and curator, spotlighting the incredible Brazilian music scene in Europe.
It all started back in 2016 when he came up with the brilliant idea for Bossa FM.
Since then, he has organized more than 150 Brazilian music events across Europe, with a special focus on Berlin, including the Psicotrópicos festival.
Rodrigo’s motivation for creating Bossa FM was simple – he noticed that there was no dedicated platform for Brazilian artists to share their music and reach a wider audience.
Fast forward to today, Bossa FM has expanded its reach to other European cities like Lisbon, Porto, Madrid, Dublin, London, and Paris.
Bossa FM
Bossa FM has been the leading force in bringing the vibrant sounds of Brazilian music to Europe.
Since 2016, they have been dedicated to organizing cultural events, concerts, and festivals catering to all Brazilian and Latin music lovers.
Throughout the years, Bossa FM has successfully hosted over 150 events featuring performances by renowned artists like Maria Rita, Milton Nascimento, Criolo, and Nação Zumbi.
Their efforts have not only showcased established artists but have also played a significant role in introducing talented newcomers such as Jaloo, Duda Beat, and Bia Ferreira to the heart of Europe.
One of their most popular recurring events in Berlin is the Roda de Feijoada, which takes place once a month on Sundays at Festsaal Kreuzberg.
