In this episode, I take you to discover the jazz side of Berlin with Avi Albers Ben Chamo: founder of Jazzy Berlin.
Jazzy Berlin is a jazz event guide focusing on contemporary jazz, presenting the most exciting German and international artists.
The goal of the community is to bring the jazz art back to the street and spread the word about the importance of keeping alive the scene in town.
Moreover, Avi has developed the project to create a meeting point for all the artists involved in organizing since 2011 Jazzy Berlin Jam Sessions: starting at the Katerholzig techno club, The Neu Heimat, and from 2015 at Klunkerkranich.
In our chat, we talked about all these aspects: he started with his story and then being a musician in Berlin and the importance of keeping alive the jazz scene, the Jazzy Jam Sessions at Klunkerkranich and how to start creating a music community in Berlin.
